Ce chapitre a pour objectif l’analyse des dessins de Boris Taslitzky menée dans la perspective de l’« empathie esthétique » (Lipps 1900) et la capacité à se projeter mentalement dans l’expérience de l’autre en s’efforçant de comprendre ses pensées, ses émotions et ses comportements, comme si l’on était soi-même dans sa position (Allport et Vernon 1937). On analysera l’image, lieu de rencontre entre deux subjectivités : celle de l’artiste et celle du spectateur. L’œuvre de Taslitzky sera étudiée en tant que vecteur de mémoire collective, et on s’interrogera non seulement sur l’efficacité de l’image en tant que forme esthétique, mais aussi sur son contenu historique. The aim of this article is to analyze Boris Taslitzky’s drawings through the lens of the notion of “aesthetic empathy” (Lipps 1900) and the ability to project oneself mentally into the experience of another, striving to understand their thoughts, emotions and behavior as if one were in their position oneself (Allport and Vernon 1937). We will examine the image as a meeting point between two subjectivities: that of the artist and that of the viewer. Taslitzky’s work will then be studied as a vector of collective memory, as we will reflect not only on the effectiveness of the image as an aesthetic form, but also on its historical content.
