Absztrakt (kivonat)

The necessity of clarifying the relationship between the individual and the community has gained attention during the past centuries as society was undergoing significant changes. Nowadays researchers focusing on communities encounter issues that were also current in the last century but have not been articulated as much as they are now. The existence and development of the European Union originally founded primarily on economic structures can henceforth become insecure without democracy - hammered out by the complicated interplay of community formations of its member States without personalities representing different cultural values and communities. This problem presents a challenge both for Hungary and all Hungarian citizens. This research that starts now examines the relationship and identity of the individual and the community as it is reflected by the „Bartók model” of „remaining Hungarian but in a European way”.
