For years the Terebes branch of the Perényi family has been standing in the centre of my research. Some chapters of my upcoming PhD thesis have already been published as segment-papers, such as the history of the family's landholdings, or the sketch of the activity and seal usage of the Master of the Treasury, János Perényi. In this present paper I take up a sorio-historical research, in which I have collected the people and noble fa-milies that served the Perényi family, and drew the curve of their career. For it is well-known from the sources and literature that the members of the family disposed of an extensive familial network. Imre Perényi was indicated in the 1410 banner record with 15 spears. István Perényi undertook missions in Italia with 14 horsemen in 1433. According to the military decree of 1435, János Perényi was obliged to provide 200 horsemen for the defence of the Western borders. In 1439 King Albert in die donation of Sáros highlights that János Perényi have supported King Sigismund in the West "with a fair number of escort". In 1458 they had to manage 10 manors, with at least 7 casdes in them. In this paper I endeavour to find out who were those that the members of the above mentioned family were able to count on. As far as possible I review the careers of three major families. Through them, the roles that the members of the family played in regional and national political levels can be nuanced. By recording all the known familiaries and examining their geographical spread, we are able to draw a picture of the family's territorial base, and furthermore we can point out the connections between the lands, residences and network of familiaries of the Perényis'.
