The study examines the future options of an „bottom up” ecclesiastical history of the region Baèka in the eighteenth century. The author makes argumentationsto that based on the international literature and his own investigations before.This region, covering over ten thousand square kilometres, was uncommonlymulti-religious and multi-ethnic in the eighteenth century, even in Europeancomparison. For the special kind of researches, we need suitable archival sources:besides normative provisions very important are court records, letters and ego-documents too. This study shows three aspects of possible investigations. They are(1) lower clergy and local communities; (2) lay clergy and monastic clergy; (3) thetolerance and its limits in the confessional space. The examples come from formermicrohistorical case studies of the author.
