Abstract
The present paper deals with some characteristic features of words resulting from language contacts. On the basis of their meanings the loanwords were organized into semantic fields set up originally for natural languages but modified for the lexicon of reconstructed languages. It is proposed that the density of certain fields are due to the intensity of contacts. As these fields are rather different, lexemes belonging to them should be analysed in other theoretical frames as well.
