Absztrakt (kivonat)
In the study the author noted down the magic words and formulas of a mixed population village, Rat (Sub-Carpathia, Ukraine). The magic formulas are different in form and structure but the texts can be divided into two main groups: generally known and used formulas and the formulas used only by healersy in the process of curing. With the description of the situations these formulas used in, the author shows the way how everyday words becoma magical. Corporates spirit endows words, phrases and expressions with magic power. These sayings often combained with different gestures and actions wich increased the words magical power. Incantations were used in different situations to direct things into right or wrong track.
