Abstract
By the help of the the placenames, archeological datas and the incomes of the Church in the age of III. Béla, it can be quantify, that the density of population of the region in the age of the Árpád dinasty was at least at the average level (sometimes higher than the average), and was mostly Hungarian ethnics. From the the middle of 13th century members of other ethnics (Cumanian, Vlach, Serbian, Bulgarian) could be showed more significant. The Hungarians could keep its dominance only in the region of Bácska till the early 16th century. In the southern counties of the TransTiszanian region the summetric part of Hungarians declined significant, and parallel the rate of ethnics, running from the Turkish, was also getting higher. Because of lack, and the unreliability of sources relate, to the 14–16th centuries, the exact quantify of population of this age is not possible.
