This study explores the ways in which contemporary Hungarian children's literature responds to the transformations induced by the digital society. The representation of digital phenomena  ranging from tools and communication channels to social media platforms  significantly shapes the poetic, linguistic, and formal dimensions of literary texts. The analysis engages with pressing issues such as cyberbullying, video game addiction, and problematic social media usage, all of which have emerged as central themes in young adult fiction over the past decade. Moreover, the study examines the narrative functions of video games, considering their impact on literary storytelling. It also investigates how digital technologies and modes of communication contribute to the evolution of literary language and fictional worlds. Finally, attention is given to literary strategies that consciously reject or omit digital elements, instead striving to restore a sense of enchantment to the represented world.
