Absztrakt (kivonat)
The research tries to reveal what causes the outstanding adolescent frequency of pregnancy rates in a slum of gypsies. Th e interviewees were teenager gypsy girls between the age of 14 and 19. Th e literature explains in diff erent ways the high percentage of teenage pregnancy in roma ethnicity. Th e study deals with the question whether the explanation for this behaviour lies in the cultural diff erences, economic necessities, or social exclusions. Th e study underlines the importance of social exclusion by the major society targeting the community of roma ethnicity.
