Absztrakt (kivonat)
In the 21st century the European Union turned exceptional attention to the improvement of employment and labour market situation of persons with disability and reduced work capacity. It was resulted by the concurrence and intertwining of two highly important processes which enhancing one another’s effect transformed the augmentation in the labour market role of persons with disability and reduced work capacity into a distinguished area of the European Union. One of them is the attempts to solve the economic difficulties arising in the union, the another is the process of human rights and improvement in equal opportunities. Thanks to this concurrence, the equal opportunity has become an important instrument to promote economic development and growth, and enhance employment. Relying on specialist literature the study aims to explore the economic and equal opportunity policies ongoing in the European Union.
