Abstract

Die Verfasser überprüften auf Grund literarischer Angaben zwei Bestimmungsmethoden für Ergosterin und drei solche für Vitamin-D. Ausserdem arbeiteten sie ein schichtchromatographisches Verfahren für die Bestimmung der beiden Wirksubstanzen nebeneinander, in einem Arbeitsgang aus. Nach ihren Versuchen scheint für die Bestimmung des Ergosterins die Liebermann — Burchardsche, sowie die Digitoninmethode befriedigend zu sein. Sind beiderlei Stoffe zugegen, können dieselben nebeneinander — ohne Einschaltung komplizierterer Arbeitsphasen — nur mit der schichtchromatographischen Methode bestimmt werden. On the basis of data of literature, two methods suggested for the determination of ergosterol and three methods for thaf of vitamin D were subjected to a critical investigation. Besides, a layer-chromatographic method was evolved for the determination of both substances in one operation. According to the investigations, the determination of ergosterol in feed yeast appears to be possible by the Lieberman - Burchardt and by the digitoxin methods provided only the ergosterol is to be determined. The determination of both components in the presence of each other can be carried out only by the layer-chromatographic method, without the use of any complicated separation procedures.
