Abstract
Die Verfasser titrierten den Säuregehalt von Hartzuckerln nach Entfärbung mit Aktivkohle — mit 0,01 n NaOH, unter Anwendung des Indikators Phenolphtalein. Parallel wurden auch Versuche mittels konduktometrischer Endpunktsindikation durchgeführt. Die mit den beiden Methoden erhaltenen Werte wichen signifikanterweise ab, als Folge der Absorption durch Aktivkohle. Dass Mass der Abweichung hängt grundlegend von dem Säuregehalt der untersuchten Probe, sowie von der zugefügten Menge der Aktivkohle ab. Das konduktometrische Verfahren erwies sich als gut anwendbar. The acid content of hard candies was determined after clarification with activated carbon by titration with 0,01 N sodium hydroxide in the presence of Phenolphthalein as indicator. Also parallel determinations were performed with conductometric end point indication. Significant deviations were observed between the results afforded by the two methods that were due to the adsorptivity of activated carbon. The adsorption depended on the acid content of the analyzed sample and on the amount of the activated carbon applied. The conductometric method proved to be suitable for the mentioned purpose.
