The inculturation, or the rooting into the popular culture, is the aim of the church mission work from the beginnings. It is a two-way process: on one hand the popular reception of the Church's spreading of the Gospel renews the popular culture, on the other hand it can enrich the propagation of the faith, the work of the Church. It can be particularly noticable in the veneration of the saints. The different life periods and professians search for the infiltration of their culture into the cult of the saints. The author mentions St. Anne as an example. The popular veneration asks her intervention in women affairs, in the household and in certain trades. St. Vendelin in the 18* Century became the patron saint of shepherding. The important periods can also form infiltration to the popular veneration of saints. The observation of the wether can also result in infiltration. The feast of St. Matthias apostol toward the end of winter inspires that he can break the ice with his hatchet, his equipment of martyrdom.
